This was not a vintage Ton Pentre performance as the students of UWIC frustrated the Rhondda Bulldogs from start to finish in a match with very few chances created in front of goal by both teams.
Ton Pentre started the match reasonably well and took control of possession early on but were unable to convert it into good clear-cut scoring chances.
Ryan Shugars was putting in a good performance out on the right wing for Ton Pentre with several runs causing the UWIC defence problems. His crosses into the box were useful but there was no end product.
During the second half Ton made a double substitution when they introduced Dwayne Mardenborough and Jamie Bradford into the game. The creativity of these two players livened up the Ton performance with their battling and skill but again UWIC were able to deal quite comfortably with what the Rhondda Bulldogs put before them.
UWIC held out for a vital point in a bid to avoid relegation from division one while Ton will feel that it was a performance best forgotten.
